Hello again from Workout Wednesday’s with Brandi at Big Fit Fam!

Also, be sure to tune back in next week for a 10 minute standing ab workout!From this day forward the first Wednesday of every month will be dedicated to introducing you to a YouTube Trainer and few of their videos that I have found to be particularly awesome for one reason or another.

For our first Featured Trainer I have chosen Josephine, a Gymra trainer who is particularly excited about fitness and eager to show you how to use interval training to tone and shed unwanted pounds.

I really appreciate Josephine’s high energy and excitable  nature as it keeps me feeling peppy even when I am tired and dreading a workout! She is always having fun, smiling and encouraging her trainees to work harder.

I have chosen three videos that are favorites of mine to share with you. Each one is great because it can be done at home with little space and it caters to every fitness level. If you can use the weights, do the exercises without, if you can’t do as many reps as she counts out you shave a few off or use lighter weights.

These videos are for you, to help you strengthen your body, but don’t expect to finish these videos with a smile on your face. You will work hard, but you will feel great for accomplishing your fitness goals!

This first video is a 40 minute interval training workout, meaning that you will combine light weight training and cardio. This is particularly great for burning fat as you will keep your heart rate up while working your muscles which will help you burn fat even after your are done working out!

You will also laugh along with her two helpers, who are very fit but also struggle with some of the moves….this made me feel better!

The second workout is for those ofyou with a little less time to dedicate to a workout but who want just as a great a kickstart to your day! This High Intensity Interval Training workout (HIIT) will get your muscles burning and your heart racing in only 20 minutes!

The final video I have chosen to share with you is a a lower key workout, meaning there is no cardio. However, these compound moves will get your heart rate up even though you aren’t bouncing around your living room. Using multiple body parts at once is a great way to increase your heart rate just like cardio, without doing jumping jacks.

Josephine is such a great trainer and motivator! I wish I had half her energy, my house would be clean, I would workout at 6am everyday, and I would never stress about how much work I need to do on this blog!

  3. So last Saturday I went to a free workout class and I hurt myself so bad. I think because it was 3 different trainers trying to cram all of these workouts in 1 hour so my body was going into overdrive. Its always good to get a great trainer who will motivate you…I want to do more reseach when I get a personal one.

  6. OMgosh! She is amazing! What I would do to have even half her energy to get through a regular day. I can barely drag myself to the gym for an hour of cardio, I can’t imagine being able to pull out that kind of workout every day.

  10. I haven’t made it to the gym yet this week but I do plan to very soon! These trainers are awesome! From my respect I wish to have a trainer that can help me tackle the motivation doubt. Haha! I especially like to bundle up lazy on the couch on a cold winter day.

  13. Interesting workout

    I’ve never seen weights like those circular ones with the handle in the middle. I guess they function like kettlebells but are easier to grip and swing less? #bestandworst
