Super Easy & Delicious Orange Creamsicle Cupcakes!

Want to know how to make these amazingly easy and delicious Orange Creamsicle Cupcakes!? You know you do!

A few weeks ago my daughter came home from softball practice feeling a little down in the dumps. Most of the girls on her team had been teammates the year before and so she was having a little trouble breaking into their clique and making friends.

Nothing makes for a better icebreaker than cupcakes, I say! So we decided to bake up a batch of yummy desserts for the team.

The challenge: They needed to be “special,” something a bit different, and, of course, better, than your usual Birthday Cupcake. They also needed to be screaming orange in color, as my daughter’s team is aptly names the Fireballs for their “don’t forget your sunglasses” bright orange shirts. Finally, they also needed to be easy. With 4 kids immersed in summer sports I don’t have time for 3 hours of baking and breaking out crazy decorating skills.

Delicious Orange Creamsicle Cupcakes!

Thus, these super simple cupcakes were born. If you have 30 minutes and time for a quick trip to your local Walmart or other grocery store, you can make these yummy Orange Creamsicle Cupcakes and impress the heck out of anyone!

What You Need:

Vanilla Cake Mix – I used Duncan Hines because they were on sale!

Be sure to also get the cake mix necessities: Eggs and Cooking Oil

Orange Jello MIx- Just a small box

Pillsbury “Orange All Star” Vanilla Frosting – You will need 2 of these!

Simply follow the directions on the cake mix box while also adding in the Orange Jello and  VOILA!

(Tip- be sure to set your timer while baking to about 10 minutes prior to what the box tells you to cook the cupcakes for. All ovens are different and so is your altitude, which makes a BIG difference while baking! Check your cupcakes ten minute prior to the recommended cook time, if they still look a bit jiggly and a toothpick inserted int eh center comes out gooey, add another 2-3 minutes at a time until they are baked all the way through)

The easiest, crowd pleasing cupcakes ever!

I can’t wait to try this little trick with other Jello Flavors as well!
