This is my favorite time of year! I love all the fall activities available for families to do together while the weather cools and Halloween approaches. Below you will find some of my favorite events around town as well as some that I have not yet had a chance to attend! These are all KID FRIENDLY events, so if you’re looking for adult minded, scary, or alcohol included events…well let me know cause I want to come!
Rock Creek Farm (Louisville, CO)
This farm has been a personal favorite for years. There is no admission, you simply drive in to their massive fields and pick however many pumpkins you want in whatever size! While driving to the pay line to pay for your pumpkins, be sure to stop and visit the many farm animas and get the kids to run out some engird on the free kids maze! They also offer delicious treats for sale and a fun, after dark corn maze for a fee.
Anderson Farms (Erie, CO)
Widely regarded as the best pumpkin patch in the North Denver area, this farm includes a huge selection of activities with admission ($12 M-Th, $18 F-Sun). Throw your little ones the barrel train and watch the big kids get worn out on the huge fun fort, combine slide, pedal carts and rainbow slide! Everyone will enjoy the farm animals, jump pad, and wag ride to pick pumpkins! For an extra fee you can also experience Terror in the Corn after dark!
Miller Farm (Platteville, CO)
My kids have been to this farm for school field trips and they always come back with huge smiles on their faces! This Farm includes hay rides, a petting zoo, corn mazes, plus picking your own bag of veggies to take home! Everything is included with the cost of admission: $22 for adults, $15 for kids 4 and older.
Harvest Farm (Wellington, CO)
This farm is an experience to remember. For the price of admission ($15 adults, $13 Kids 4 and over) you will enjoy and host of amazing activities including corn cannons, tire mountain, petting zoo, corn maze, and wagon rides plus so much more! Most importantly, this farm is fun with a HUGE mission to improve the lives of men and women who are overcoming substance abuse. Colorado Pumpkin Patch (Monument, CO)
The admission to this top rated pumpkin patch is just $10-12 person and free for kids 3 and under! There are so many activities for kids at this farm! Here is a teaser:

Nick’s Fall Fest and Pumpkin Patch (Aurora, Co)
This farmer’s market is the perfect place to go for some fall fun if you don’t have a day to dedicate to farm style pumpkin patch! Admittance is free with many activities that don’t cost anything and some that you can pay for individually or buy a wristband to enjoy them all!
Elitch gardens adds fun for all ages during this time of year! During the day young children can enjoy the usual rides while also participating and the trick or treat trail and other fun themed activities! By night, the part turns into a haunted adventure (definitely for the more mature in your brood!) Check out our personal experience with Fright fest HERE!
Flashlight Tours at the Butterfly pavilion (10/26-27)
This fun, nighttime event takes place with the lights out and showcases what goes on in the dark! We attended a few years ago and were surprised by the glowing scorpions and other nighttime terrors!
Glow at the Gardens (Oct. 17, 18, 23, 24 & 25)
Come trick or treat at the Botanic Gardens while also enjoying a fabulous disply of carved, glowing pumpkin, lawn games, demonstrations, and more!
On October 20th dress the kiddies up for a special day of trick or treating amongst the animals! (Admission to this event is not included with yearly passes)
ENCHANTED HOLLOWS (October 5, 6, 12, 13, 19, 20, 26, 27!)
Take a creepy walk through the zoo after dark, a new and exciting experience!
This is one I really want to participate in this year! I love decorating cakes and cupcakes and have passed the enjoyment to my kiddos! I can’t wait to see how much fun this is!
Trunk or Treat (Wheat Ridge, CO) October 27th
If you have never been to a Trunk or Treat now is the time! Creative minds come together to decorate the trunks of their cars and trucks and hand out loads of candy! It’s a super fun way to trick or treat! This event will also offer a haunted house and carnival games!
Paint pumpkins, hitch a ride on the haunted train, visit with Sharkey the Mascot, and so much more! Kids in costume receive half off admission with purchase of an adult ticket!
Celebrate Halloween by seeing how candy is made! Also participate in the costume contest and get a free piece of candy! My kids love this tour and always have fun, plus it’s FREE!!
Punkin Chunkin (aurora, CO) October 6-7
This event has everything you could want: a pumpkin patch, pony rides, fall crafts, live music and performances, a corvette car show, food vendors, a beer garden, and BEST of all, you get to watch pumpkins be launched by a giant catapult!
Halloween Treats from the Neighborhood & Comedy Magic Show (Westmisnter, CO) October 27th
Join the Anythink library at Huron for some indoor trick or treating and a magic show!
Tennyson Trick or Treat Street & Fall Festival (Federal Heights) October 27th
Choose from three different trick or treat sessions and pose for photos with Miles the Mascot and the Broncos Cheerleaders!
